Nutrition
Eating right is vital to
promoting health
In
today's fast paced world the
daily stresses and strains are
felt by all of us. More often
then not we find ourselves
drained physically, mentally,
emotionally and spiritually. One
of the keys to restoring balance
in our lives and break free from
the damaging lifestyle of modern
life is nutrition.
Our body
while under regular stress,
whether nutritional,
environmental or psychological,
releases free radicals. Free
radical production can be
accumulative which means the
body does its best to neutralize
them. But free radicals continue
to accumulate from stress and
bad eating habits until
eventually you are unable to
handle their cascading
onslaught. At the cellular level
the damage that occurs leads to total
over load and
disease as the degeneration of
the body begins.
Attaining
control over our lives begins
with a whole-life-philosophy
that incorporates exercise, mind
therapies and nutrition as vital
elements that are integral to
maintaining health, vitality and
peace of mind. A strategy that
results in a inner
transformation that radiates
outward as healthy looking skin
and a glowing complexion.
We are what we
eat
Nutrition is one
of the key elements to an
integral lifestyle and what we
eat affects every cell and organ
of our body. Given that our skin
is the largest organ we have
that protects us from the
elements, bacteria and disease,
what we eat is vital to
maintaining our body and
having healthy looking
skin.
While new creams,
serums and lotions using the
latest in nanotechnology can
help to deliver specific
botanical, mineral, and vitamins
with antioxidants to the skin,
eating healthy ensures our cells
are properly nourished through
the uptake of the nutrients in
the blood. And no
skin care product can replicate
that.
When the
nutrients and amino acids are
ingested and absorbed into your
bloodstream, your body naturally
knows to deliver them to the
cells within the body and skin
cells. There is a old saying
from the traditions of ayurveda
that states,
|
"Improve the quality
of your blood and
you improve the
quality of your
skin." |
Our food intake then should be
carefully monitored especially
foods that are sweet,
spicy or high in fat as they are frequently
mentioned as influencing skin
condition.
|
"Our body is a
magnificiently
divided, living,
breathing mechanism,
yet we do almost
nothing to insure
its optimal
development and use.
We must begin at the
beginning, just as
the gardener who
wants beautiful
flowers, in summer
must start by
cultivating the soil
and proper
nousrishing the
seedlings that come
up in the early
spring".
