Music and Sound Therapy
Healing of Mind, Body and
Spirit

Sound therapy has
be used since ancient times to
promote health and wellbeing to
body, mind and spirit. Such
early cultures as the Chinese,
Tibetans, East Indians of the
east, to the Greeks such as Pythagoras
and Aristotle of the west have
used the healing properties of
sound.
Today sound
therapies are becoming more
widely accepted for reducing
stress and anxiety, pain
management and helping children
with learning needs and
emotional issues. Even delivery
rooms and operating rooms are
hearing the sound of music.
Everyday we hear the sound of
music therapy when we are in an
elevator, while shopping or even
on the telephone. And why is
this? Because sound and music
affects our moods and it WORKS.
How does it work?
Scientists now
know that the human body is a
dynamic energy system and that
our organs and tissues down to
our very cells all have their
own natural vibratory resonance.
This natural oscillating
frequency can become unbalanced
and upset the natural rhythms of
the body.
Sound therapy
is used to synchronize and
normalize the body by using
sound waves to balance the cells
frequency back to its natural
healthy state of vibrational
resonance. Ultrasound is a
similar
Scientific
studies show that sound waves
can produce changes in the
autonomic, immune, endocrine and
neuropeptide systems of the
physical body. In fact, our
bodies are capable of absorbing
sound that is outside our normal
range of hearing. This means
that all the sound wave
frequencies that are in our
environment, especially the ones
we can't hear like microwaves,
cell phones, etc. are having an
impact on our health and on our
frequencies, and our resonate
state of being.
There are many
ways that the use of sound can
effect change within the
vibratory pattern of the
physical body, through the use
of voice, music, drum, quartz
crystal bowls or tuning forks.
Sound Therapy is not about
getting you to sing, it's about
using sound waves to create
resonance in your vibrational
field.
Here are just a
few of the benefits of sound and
music therapy.
