Anti-Aging

A major cause of aging is the
deterioration of the
energy-producing workings of the
cell which results in reduced
cellular metabolic activity, the
accumulation of cellular debris,
and eventual death of the cell.
All cells face an inevitable
death as they age. On this path,
cells became lethargic and in
the end stop dividing.
This is called Cellular
senescence and is the phenomenon
where cells lose the ability to
divide. Most somatic cells will
encounter their inevitable
destiny, senescence. This tells
us that one of the keys to
anti-aging begins at the
cellular level by reversing
cellular aging and restoring
vitality and energy to the
body's cells. Scientists are now
working in labs at the cellular
level and have accomplished this
reversal with the proper
nutrients that fight off
damaging free radicals and slow
down senescence. By treating the
cause of cellular senescence we
can now see the effect in:
Maintaining youthful skin
Repairing Damaged Cells
Fighting oxidative Free Radical
damage
Increased Energy Levels
Boosting the Body's Immunity
Improving heart & circulation
health
To begin the body's
healing process and regain your
natural balance in a 21st
century lifestyle, it is
important to understand the many
causes of cellular damage which
include
Diet
Environment
Allergies
Disease
Stress
I diet with plenty of fruits and
vegetables with high
anti-oxidants is a first
step course to fighting the free
radical damage.
Drinking plenty of water and
getting proper exercise will
help the therapeutic process.
What is often overlooked is the
key role stress plays in our
life in affecting us at the
cellular level
Cellular energy is generated in
the mitochondria, tiny
structures within each cell that
turn nutrients into energy,
which is stored in the form of
the molecules adenosine
triphosphate (ATP) and creatine
phosphate (CP). But when we are
under stress, our bodies release
a surge of hormones such as
adrenaline, norepinephrine, and
cortisol. The stress response
can damage the mitochondria and
hampers cells’ ability to
produce the ATP and CP they need
– setting off a vicious cycle in
which underfed cells become even
more vulnerable to stress.
This why the path to
Integral Wellness places so
much emphais on regaining a
sense of balance and harmony in
ones life. Being centered is
means of knowing intuitvely what
the body needs and having the
discipline to give it. Whether
it is the proper diet and
nutrition, exercise, mind
therapies or skin care. All are
key parts that make up the whole
and offer the potential for the
healing of the Spirit, Mind and
Body.
